Yes, Greetje used to be her name when she was younger. In Dutch (including the Dutch speaking half of Belgium) the suffix -je indicates something like 'little'. Comparable in German: -chen (Mädchen) and -lein (Röslein). Comparable in Russian: -nka (Svetlanka for little Svetlana).
